Sports

At Maritzburg Prep involvement in sports is compulsory.  

We believe that sport is an essential part of the development of any child. Besides the obvious benefits of exercise and movement, through sporting activities, children also have a chance to develop sporting skills in the various sporting codes that we participate in.  

Children learn valuable life lessons through playing sport and participating in team sports. It is therefore a critical part of our junior primary school education experience.  

Whilst we believe in participation and competition; we aim to see children who love to be active and who will enjoy their sporting experiences. 

We actively participate in many mini sporting tournaments and matches throughout the city with various schools.
