It’s been a bumper second term at Maritzburg Prep. The junior primary children have all had a full season of boys soccer and girls hockey, and have represented the school so well at tournaments and fixtures around the city. Art and music continue to form a big part of the school curriculum, with the school winning the competition at the Royal Show for the third time. Here are a few highlights of what has been going on…
Hazel Wain has written a syllabus for the Grade 1 curriculum. Her books cover the mathematics, English and life skills areas of learning. Biased as we are, our teachers are fully awesome.

New signage is up and overlooking the valley!
Maritzburg Preparatory School has once again emerged victorious in the 2015 Royal Show Art Competition. Maritzburg Prep was awarded the Leonard Line Junior Inter-School Floating Trophy for winning the most points in the Junior School category. This is the third year the school has won the award under the direction of art teacher Carey Veitch (pictured, back left). Pictured are some of the pre-school and junior primary artists (from left): Zac Wimble (5), Jamie Wimble (7), Sarah Brandsma (7) and Emihle Mazomba (5).
Our Grade 3 boys have had a packed out soccer season, but every now and again they get to enjoy a well-earned rest on the side.
